Moe Canal Bed and Bank Stabilisation

Client: Baw Baw Shire Council

Type: Design & Construct

Timing: June – July 2013

Moe Canal is a heavily modified waterway that is confined within a straight channel through high value agricultural land. It is bordered by North Canal road and the canal is currently subject to ongoing bed and bank erosion which is impacted on the integrity of the nearby road and other public assets.

EcoProjects undertook extensive works to stabilise six sections of the canal that were impacting on North Canal Road. The works included construction of grade control structures, bank stabilisation through rock and clay fill placement, drainage works and revegetation.
