Client: Baw Baw Shire Council Type: Design & Construct Timing: June – July 2013 Moe Canal is a heavily modified waterway that is confined within a straight channel through high value agricultural land. It is bordered by North Canal road and the canal is currently subject to ongoing bed and bank erosion which is impacted on the integrity of the nearby road and other public assets. EcoProjects undertook extensive works to stabilise six sections of the canal that were impacting on North Canal Road. The works included construction of grade control structures, bank stabilisation through rock and clay fill placement, drainage works and revegetation.

Client: West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority Type: Design & Construct Timing: February – March 2013 EcoProjects Australia was engaged to design and construct a regulating structure to provide environmental flows into Sale Common wetland from the Latrobe River. Sale Common forms part of the RAMSAR listed Gippsland Lakes and is one of the last remaining freshwater wetlands in this system. A number of important and significant flora and fauna species inhabit the wetland. Works included detailed design and construction of a four bay wetland regulating structure containing dual leaf combination penstock gates. As the Primary contractor we worked closely with AWMA Pty Ltd for design and manufacture of the required infrastructure. All construction work was undertaken by EcoProjects staff. Client: Walhalla Tourist Railway Committee of Management Type: Design & Construct Timing: January – February 2013 This project was undertaken to extend the current Thomson Rail Trail around two redundant railway bridges. The project comprised of over 300 metres of track design and construction in very steep and rocky terrain. An additional 2 kilometres of fallen tree and debris removal was undertaken along and existing section of rail trail. The project site is located adjacent to the Baw Baw Ranges National Park and contains significant remnant vegetation including several FFG listed species.
