Client: Department of Sustainability & Environment Type: Design & Construct Timing: November 2012 Works were undertaken to rehabilitate a walking track that was severely impacted by recent flooding. The site is in a very remote and highly sensitive area. The site contains significant native vegetation and cultural heritage significance from previous gold mining activities. Works including the flowing activities; Development and implementation of a Site Rehabilitation Plan Relocation of a heritage artefact (an old engine) to a heritage museum in the town of Walhalla Reinstatement of a previously excavated track to a natural walking trail Placement of large wood and vegetation for instream and terrestrial habitat Reinstatement of two river crossings Access track and drainage repairs
