Walhalla is an old gold mining town that is rich in cultural heritage and is located within an isolated section of the Baw Baw Ranges within the broader Great Dividing Range. Works undertaken of this project include site assessment and design, community and stakeholder consultation and project delivery. The on ground works to be conducted under this project include the construction of gabion basket, concrete and rock retaining walls. Yallourn North Landslip Remediation
Client: Latrobe City Council Type: Lump sum, construct only Timing: October – November 2013 This project involved the construction of a pre cast concrete panel retaining wall and installation of slope drainage to address an active landslip site. A series of deep trench drainage lines filled with filter sand we installed to conveyor subsurface moisture from the site.
Moe Canal Bed and Bank Stabilisation
Client: Baw Baw Shire Council Type: Design & Construct Timing: June – July 2013 Moe Canal is a heavily modified waterway that is confined within a straight channel through high value agricultural land. It is bordered by North Canal road and the canal is currently subject to ongoing bed and bank erosion which is impacted on the integrity of the nearby road and other public assets. EcoProjects undertook extensive works to stabilise six sections of the canal that were impacting on North Canal Road. The works included construction of grade control structures, bank stabilisation through rock and clay fill placement, drainage works and revegetation.
